| One of a series of Maximilian hunting scenes from the Louvre in Paris. Woven in Brussels in 1548 for Archduke Maximilian. The red horseman is Emperor Charles V (1500-1558). The background shows the imperial palace (burned down in 1731) and the town hall in old Brussels and part of the Zonien Forest. Woven in France of a blend of polyester/viscose/cotton/wool. |
