The Dance
One of many medieval tapestries depicting scenes of the “Daily Life of the Nobility” woven during the 15th and 16th centuries. “La Danse” is part of a famous set of “Noble Pastorale” woven around 1530 in the Loire area of France. It is an excellent example of a “mille fleurs” design popular at the time, with a background full of small flowers, leaves, and animals.

Woven in France of 70% cotton, in a very fine stitch.
